And it’s been a busy start to 2025 for the pupils, with ice walks, gymnastics and quizzes amongst the usual school subjects.

P1: This week P1 have been doing an ice walk and cracked the ice to let the animals out. They have been working on balancing in gymnastics and learning different colours in French.

P2: P2 have been focusing on their balancing in gymnastics, New Year resolutions and watching Topsy and Tim.

P2/3: Now we head over to P2/3 who have had a remarkably busy week. They have been doing general knowledge quizzes, a Newsround quiz each day and counting to 30 in French.

P3/4: P3/4 have been learning their 5 and 10 times tables. They have been doing lots of writing and figuring out how to use a question mark. In P.E they have really enjoyed gymnastics.

P4: P4 have embarked on their new topic, they have compiled a traffic survey and they have been doing gymnastics in PE.

P5/4: P5/4 have been learning how to log in to Glow. In Literacy they have been continuing a story and in maths their focus has been fractions. P5/4 have also had Arabic zoom calls.

P6/5: In both Outdoor Learning and Numeracy they have been working on shapes. In Big Writing2, they have been continuing a story in the style of the writer.

P6/7: In Literacy, they have also been continuing a story in the style of an author and in Numeracy, focusing on the number of the day and lots of variations of that number. P6/7 have painted amazing Highland Cows using oil pastels.

P7 – This week in P7 we have started our block of algebra and have been solving lots of different equations. We have enjoyed the fun activities in the Discovery Zone learning about how our senses help each other to keep us safe. We have also been thinking about what our targets are going to be for this term.
